Fueled with a love for experiences and learning, I am a person who is passionate about technology, research, and continual improvement. Formally educated in the realm of mathematics, I have a strong foundation in the fundamentals of problem solving and critical thinking.
As a professional, I have worked across the US and in Germany. However, I originate from and reside in Tulsa, OK. Growing up in the midwest kept me in consistent exposure to the energy sector. This exposure gave me the opportunity to work in the Catalysis Industry where I developed my passion for research and technology as an Automation and Controls Engineer. With the pandemic playing its part in all of our lives, I was given the opportunity to add to my experiences of which I did so by enrolling at Holberton Tulsa with the intention of becoming a Machine Learning Engineer. I will graduate in December of 2023 and am currently looking for the right door to walk through.
As a person, I am an avid hiker, backpacker, and kayaker. I truly enjoy being able to balance my exposure between the outdoors and technology as I believe my personal growth is most efficient with this recipe. I have backpacked over 1800 miles in many places across the US and South America which has given me a broader perspective on life and the world. This perspective has helped me to develop a strong sense of who I am and the confidence to pursue my dreams.

Throughout my time at Holberton, I have written some articles to summarize topics covered in my education. Most of these are simple in theory but prove my ability to learn new concepts and speak on them in general. If you would like to take a look, they are available below.
This journal article covered the implementation and results of a Convolutional Neural Network trained on a subset of images from the ImageNet dataset used in the LSVRC-2010 contest.
This short post covers my first exploratory attempts at utilizing Transfer Learning with the intent of forming a model that solves the CIFAR10 dataset.
